somewhereawesome #29: Life in Manzanita and Short Sands (chapter 6 -Oregon road trip)

Manzanita. A village with one main street that leads to the great wide ocean, endless dunes, cliff views and perfect surf waves. Local stores, no starbucks or other well known brands, shingled houses, little pubs and tall pines – that´s Manzanita. Located between two incredible beautiful state parks I found my paradise!

A few kilometer north, there´s a hidden beach, that took my breath away. We parked our car and hiked trough dense green, pines, bushes and grass along a creek until we heard the first sound of the Pacific Ocean. Here you are and this beautiful hidden wild west coast beach appears right in front of you. Everything is peaceful, everything is great. Dogs, surfers, waves, wind, cliffs, driftwood and shiny blue jellyfish animals on the sand. I truly felt very far away from everything and it was good.

On the road back to Manzanita we found this nice little spot:

Manzanita-12 Manzanita-13Back to Manzanita it was time for beer and sunset:
