somewhereawesome #30: Finn slough – the finnish fishing village south of Vancouver

We got there on a very rainy and dark spring day – we didn´t know what to do and someone told us to do a quick visit at Finn slough to get some nice photo shots.

finnslough3Finn Slough is a tiny Fraser River fishing community south of Richmond, near Vancouver. Founded by finnish settlers this place has something special. There are still some fishermen around and some of them live in the original scow houses used by the Finns”…

Floating homes, houses on stilts and some retired fishing boats in the foggy and rainy swamp land made it look mystic, deserted and gloomy but still fantastic.
